Sometimes you just want a little something sweet…not too much, just a bite. Sometimes you don’t want to mess up the entire kitchen baking up a treat. These mini apple crisps are perfect – super fast to make and just right for that late night snack – or breakfast! They aren’t too sweet and you can make 1 or 10 at a time!
Individual Baked Apple Crisp
1 apple, peeled, cored and diced
2 teaspoons flour
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg
2 teaspoons butter, cold and cut into small cubes
Place apple in a small ramekin (I used a 4 ounce jelly jar). In a small bowl mix flour, sugar and spices. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle on top of apples. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 – 25 minutes – or until apples are tender, bubbly and topping is browned. Enjoy!
For one serving – this recipe costs $.45 – what a steal! The cost can be lowered depending on where you get your apples.
Do you have any individual dessert recipes? Do you make them one at a time – or do you make a few to share? I’d love to hear your ideas!
I love the individual-sized treats….I’m going to make these tonight! 🙂
Me too – I can’t wait to hear what you think!
love this idea!
Thank you!
Looks really good!! Thank you for visiting my blog today!
Sure! It’s nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Stephanie,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I’m happy to “meet” you. 🙂
I love the way you are using the little canning jars…too cute! And anything made with apples is OK in my book.
Love,
Mary
Hi Mary! It’s nice to meet you too! I love apples – comfort food at it’s best!
Sounds delicious! I might try this today!
I happen to love peanut butter cups for a quick individual dessert. Just layer chocolate pudding with Reese’s peanut butter cereal and add a dollop of chunky peanut butter or whipped cream on top (or peanut butter chips) with some crushed Reese’s cup pieces. You can also do this with oreos and vanilla pudding. Yummy!
Mmmmm sounds very yummy! Thanks for sharing!

adorable!
Thanks! I am anxious to try it with berries this summer!
My wheels are turning…I’ve got 4 ounce jelly jars. I’ve got one apple but I’ve also got several pears. I’ve also got some oats I’m thinking would fit in nicely. I’m seeing some deliciousness tomorrow morning. 🙂
Pears and oats would be dreamy! Let me know how it turns out!
This one looks great too! Definitely going to have to try it.
Please do! I’d love to hear how you like it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! These 1-person crumbles look great. I love making crumbles, and tend to add all sorts of other fruits, like pears, apricots, cranberries, cherries, raisins, etcetera 🙂
Hello! I can’t wait to get some other fruit – I want to make some more!
These look so good! Can’t wait to make them next apple season!! I also love the price breakdowns, great addition and good information for those of us on a budget!!
Thanks – figuring out the price has been a great learning experience for me…I am learning that I need to start finding new place to buy some of my staples like flour and sugar!
These look great, and so cute! Another use for those jelly jars 🙂
Thanks! I agree – I love finding new uses for them!
