Individual Baked Apple Crisp

Individual Baked Apple Crisp

Sometimes you just want a little something sweet…not too much, just a bite.  Sometimes you don’t want to mess up the entire kitchen baking up a treat.  These mini apple crisps are perfect – super fast to make and just right for that late night snack – or breakfast!  They aren’t too sweet and you can make 1 or 10 at a time!

Individual Baked Apple Crisp

1 apple, peeled, cored and diced

2 teaspoons flour

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

pinch of salt

pinch of nutmeg

2 teaspoons butter, cold and cut into small cubes

Place apple in a small ramekin (I used a 4 ounce jelly jar).  In a small bowl mix flour, sugar and spices.  Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Sprinkle on top of apples.  Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 – 25 minutes – or until apples are tender, bubbly and topping is browned.  Enjoy!

For one serving – this recipe costs $.45 – what a steal!  The cost can be lowered depending on where you get your apples.

Do you have any individual dessert recipes?  Do you make them one at a time – or do you make a few to share?  I’d love to hear your ideas!

  1. Hi Stephanie,

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I’m happy to “meet” you. 🙂

I love the way you are using the little canning jars…too cute! And anything made with apples is OK in my book.

    Love,
    Mary

  2. Sounds delicious! I might try this today!

I happen to love peanut butter cups for a quick individual dessert. Just layer chocolate pudding with Reese’s peanut butter cereal and add a dollop of chunky peanut butter or whipped cream on top (or peanut butter chips) with some crushed Reese’s cup pieces. You can also do this with oreos and vanilla pudding. Yummy!

  4. My wheels are turning…I’ve got 4 ounce jelly jars. I’ve got one apple but I’ve also got several pears. I’ve also got some oats I’m thinking would fit in nicely. I’m seeing some deliciousness tomorrow morning. 🙂

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog! These 1-person crumbles look great. I love making crumbles, and tend to add all sorts of other fruits, like pears, apricots, cranberries, cherries, raisins, etcetera 🙂

    • Thanks – figuring out the price has been a great learning experience for me…I am learning that I need to start finding new place to buy some of my staples like flour and sugar!
